We, the authors of this blog, believe in more than what we physically see. We are convinced that we are more than mere matter made of atoms and stardust. Religion and belief in something greater are a part of us – deeply rooted in our DNA.

Many of us, probably most people worldwide, grow up with the belief that there is only one "true" faith; that we possess the only correct revelation and that our own holy book and rituals are superior to those of other religions. I, the founder of this platform, also grew up this way: As an Orthodox Christian, I was convinced that my view on spiritual matters was paramount. But in a world of diversity, acceptance, and mutual respect, we began to question our views.

This self-imposed superiority inevitably led to viewing other religions as less valuable. This feeling, shaped by our sociocultural upbringing, caused unease among my co-authors and me. It contradicted our rational thinking and the values ​​of the democracy in which we were also raised. These values ​​remind us that individual freedom must never depend on belonging to a particular religion, worldview, or ethnicity. True freedom in faith lies with those who have chosen their own path—without restricting the freedom of those who choose a different one.

It is important for us to emphasize freedom of religion, as it is still not a given in many parts of the world – even though it should be. When we deny our fellow human beings this right, religion becomes a political issue and ultimately a weapon. Based on supposedly divine laws, the "true" believers are elevated, while "unbelievers" are degraded to the status of subordinates. The consequences have been and continue to be brutal wars, violence, destruction, fear, and immeasurable suffering.

We can only counteract the misuse of religion if we understand ourselves as a spiritual community in a scientifically shaped world. Coexistence and collaboration are not only possible here, but can also mutually enrich each other. As someone who has harbored a passion for physics and technology since childhood, I have never neglected my spiritual side. I am convinced that the physics of the cosmos and the magic of the stars are not mutually exclusive—quite the contrary. In the perfection of creation, we can recognize a force that we should explore in different ways: a diversity of beliefs.

This blog brings together our experiences and thoughts gathered through travels and encounters with people from all over the world. As a Christian, I am personally grateful for every individual who has shown me how acceptance, friendship, and respect can preserve the divine peace that unites us all—for the benefit of all humanity. I am certain that my fellow authors, regardless of their individual beliefs, feel the same way.
