Technology & Economy

The economy is driven by technological developments.

The economy is driven by technological developments – a principle that has held true since time immemorial. Milestones in human history, such as the invention of the wheel in early Mesopotamia, the development of the steam engine, or the first transistor, illustrate this progress. In the course of this ever-accelerating development, often driven in bursts by conflicts and geopolitical competition, many people are only subconsciously aware of the exponential growth of modern technologies. At times, we are overwhelmed by new achievements such as AI, drone technologies, or robotics.

Nevertheless, it is crucial to understand developments at various technological levels in conjunction with economic aspects – such as raw material supply, production, and academic education. Only forward-looking planning, weighing all advantages and risks, guarantees prosperity, security, stability, and ultimately, the peace of a society.

As the founder of this blog, I and all the co-authors are aware of this fact. We strive to explain things in simple yet clear terms within our respective disciplines. We are committed to the goal of imparting knowledge and making the topic of "strategic technologies" in relation to "economic developments" more accessible to as many people as possible.
